Full definition
Repair credits are pre-paid balances deposited into a ProActive Home Care™ member's account on a 6-month cadence ($50 Protect, $100 Essential, $300 Premium) that can be applied to any qualifying repair or service performed through the platform.
Credits come in two types: loyalty credits (deposited every 6 months, no expiration during active membership) and bonus credits (earned through healthy actions such as completing inspections within window, resolving urgent findings, or onboarding a HomePassport™; expire 12 months after deposit). When applied to a repair, bonus credits are deducted first, then loyalty credits — a “bonus-first deduction” model that prevents perishable credits from being wasted.
Why does this matter?
Repair credits reframe the economics of preventive home maintenance. Instead of paying monthly and then absorbing the full cost of every repair, members pre-load funds that offset future work — bringing the effective net annual cost of a Premium plan close to zero for active users.
